Kentucky’s medical marijuana program continues to expand, giving registered patients more options for purchasing medical marijuana across the Commonwealth. Since the first dispensaries opened, new locations have continued to launch in communities throughout the state, while additional dispensaries prepare to open their doors.
For patients who already have a Kentucky medical marijuana card, this expansion means there are more locations to choose from when it is time to visit a dispensary. For those who are still completing the certification process, getting a Kentucky medical marijuanas card now can help you be prepared to visit a dispensary when a new location opens nearby.
From NatureMed in Murray to Wildcat Cannabis in Morehead and new Blue Sage locations, here are some of the latest dispensary updates Kentucky patients should know.
Kentucky Medical Marijuana Dispensaries That Are Now Open
As of December 2025, licensed medical marijuana dispensaries are operating in communities across Kentucky. Patients with a valid Kentucky medical marijuana card can visit any licensed dispensary to purchase medical marijuana products permitted under the state program.
Here are the dispensaries currently listed as open:
Kentucky Marijuana Card maintains a current list of Kentucky dispensary locations so patients can check which locations are open and which are still preparing to launch.
Kentucky Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Coming Soon
The statewide dispensary network is still growing, with several licensed locations preparing to open. Current upcoming locations include:
Opening dates can change as dispensaries complete the steps required to begin serving patients, so it is important to check for updates before planning a visit.
NatureMed Continues Expanding Across Kentucky
NatureMed has become an important part of Kentucky’s growing dispensary network, with locations now open in Paducah, Erlanger, and Murray.
The NatureMed Dispensary in Murray, KY, located at 1300 N 16th St., gives patients in Western Kentucky a licensed dispensary option closer to home. NatureMed also has a location in Paducah at 435 Jordan Drive, providing another option for patients in Western Kentucky.
In Northern Kentucky, the NatureMed Dispensary in Erlanger is located at 635 Donaldson Highway. This location gives patients in the Erlanger area and surrounding communities a convenient option for purchasing medical marijuana with a valid Kentucky medical marijuana card.
NatureMed is also preparing to open a location in Carrollton at 225 Inn Road, which will add another option for patients in the area once it begins serving cardholders.
Patient Drives With NatureMed
Kentucky Marijuana Card works with NatureMed to host patient drives in communities near its dispensary locations. These events give new and renewing patients an opportunity to meet with our team, ask questions about getting or renewing a marijuana card, and complete their evaluation.
Upcoming NatureMed patient drives include September 28 in Murray and Paducah, September 29 in Erlanger, and additional events throughout October. Patients can schedule a NatureMed patient drive appointment in advance. These drives are available for both new patients and renewals.
With multiple locations already operating, another on the way, and patient drives happening in several communities, NatureMed is helping expand access to Kentucky’s medical marijuana program.
Wildcat Cannabis Is Coming to Morehead
Patients in Morehead and surrounding communities will soon have another local option with the opening of Wildcat Cannabis.
Wildcat Cannabis in Morehead is currently listed as an upcoming dispensary, with more details about the location and opening still to come.
The upcoming Morehead location is especially relevant for patients in northeastern Kentucky who have been waiting for more convenient local access. Rather than traveling to another community, patients in the area will have a new licensed dispensary option once Wildcat Cannabis officially opens.
Patient Drives With Wildcat
We are also hosting a patient drive in Morehead with Wildcat Cannabis to help qualifying patients get prepared before the dispensary opens. At the patient drive, our team can evaluate new patients and renewals while answering questions about the Kentucky medical marijuana program and the card process.
Because the state can take up to 30 days to review a submitted application, getting a Kentucky medical marijuanas card ahead of a new dispensary opening can help patients be prepared when Wildcat Cannabis begins serving customers.
Blue Sage Continues Growing Its Kentucky Presence
Blue Sage has also expanded its presence throughout Kentucky. The dispensary currently has open locations in Nicholasville, Georgetown, Oak Grove, and Lebanon.
Blue Sage's locations are part of the growing network of dispensaries serving Kentucky patients, and the company is continuing to expand. New Blue Sage dispensaries are coming soon to Russellville and Milton, giving patients in these communities additional local options once the locations open.
Patient Drives With Blue Sage
We also host patient drives with Blue Sage at locations throughout Kentucky. These events give qualifying patients an opportunity to complete a new patient evaluation or renewal while getting answers to their questions about the Kentucky medical marijuana program. Patient drives can also help patients get their card before a new dispensary opens in their area, so they are ready to visit once the location begins serving cardholders.
Looking for a Dispensary Near Me?
As more Kentucky dispensaries open, finding a dispensary near me is becoming easier for registered medical marijuana patients throughout the state. New locations are giving patients more choices across Northern, Central, Eastern, and Western Kentucky.
However, patients must have a valid Kentucky medical marijuana card before purchasing medical marijuana from a licensed dispensary. A government-issued photo ID is also required when visiting a dispensary.
If you have not received your card yet, getting started now can help you be prepared to visit a dispensary once your application is approved. Our team at Kentucky Marijuana Card can help qualifying patients through the certification and state application process.
